My name is Amy Blea and I am a Pastry Chef located in Round Rock, TX with certification from the Texas Culinary Academy Le Courdon Bleu program.
Baking has been a passion of mine since I was very young. Growing up, I learned how to bake from my mom and treasured the time spent in her kitchen baking for the holidays. My love for decorating cakes began with my oldest son’s very first birthday. Over time I began baking cakes for friends and family and eventually decided to go to school for some formal training in the pastry arts. Since then I have worked in various bakeries in the Austin area and I am a volunteer baker for Bake A Wish Austin.
I especially enjoy doing custom sculpted cakes, flowers and figures. I am constantly learning and experimenting with new flavors and techniques for making edible art. The possibilities are endless and there is always something new to try.
I am a mother of 3 boys and work a full time job as a software engineer by day, and bake cakes and cookies by night. I have a very busy schedule, so I feel blessed to be able to bake out of my home and share my passion by creating edible works of art that can be enjoyed by others.
